I do not think that there is any user manual on how to live our lives. The decision is always in our own hands, whether we will stop dreaming or we will work harder to make the most out of life.
Life itself is a wonderful blessing. This is the meaning of life to me.
Having a condition called Achondroplasia, I admit that I have been through a lot of ups and downs. I am living a normal life in my own simple but extraordinary way. If not for the love and guidance of my family, I would have been one of those people who just waste or even take their own lives. I am not one of them, and I will never be. My strong faith in God’s unconditional love will not waver.
I may not have the perfect life, but if I was given a chance to live another one, I would choose this life over and over again. I do not regret that I sometimes made bad choices but I always tried to learn from them. These choices made me who I am today, a woman who is not perfect but one who radiates positivity.
I want to become an inspiration to everyone around me. I want them to smile as soon as they see me. I want them to be reminded that there is more to life than being happy. Having the reason to live is what’s more important. As I said in my recent inspirational message to Psychology students before I left the Philippines, “I had a mission to change and inspire other people’s lives.” I will strive hard to live by these words because I owe my life to God.
